I was born and raised outside of Pittsburgh in the borough of Green Tree.
Green Tree, along with Dormont and Castle Shannon, was a member of the Keystone Oaks School District and so I attended and graduated from Keystone Oaks High School. After High School I enrolled in the Pennsylvania State University and attended the Greater Allegheny Campus ( old Mckeesport Campus), main campus in State College, and then Penn State Harrisburg Campus (old Capital Campus). I eventullay graduated from Penn State with a couple of engineering degrees. I currently live and work in the Harrisburg area.
I have been photographing in a “snapshot documentary” style from the age of about 10 or 11. Through the years I have photographed my life and those around me including my three children, my wife, other family members and most all of the events that I have experienced on my lifes journey. I hardly go anywhere without some type of camera.
Three years ago, in the fall of 2009, I joined the Harrisburg Camera Club to try and gain a new “photographic perspective”. Through my experiences at HCC, the digital competitons, print critiques, guest speakers and gallery shows, I have learned a tremendous amount and now I find myself looking at photography from more of a “fine art perspective”.
On this site you will find both my “snapshot documentary” photos and my attempt at “fine art photography”. I hope you enjoy. Please feel free to post your comments. Some photographs on this site can be offered for sale. Contact me for more information.
