Cot-taj-mahal – July 4th 2011

How many launch permits do you need today..?
I’ve been to the PA Fish and Game Commission building twice over the last two days to buy canoe/kayak launch permits. Yes, in Pennsylvania you need launch permits for your un-powered boats if you want to be able to use any of the Fish & Game Commission access points or any state park waterways. It’s not to bad, only $18.00 per boat for 2 years. I bought a total of 8 for all the boats I’m taking to our July 4th Cot-taj-mahal Celebration. The same lady waited on me yesterday and today. She was very nice. Yesterday she gave me a bunch of waterway maps and boater information to take along. Today when she saw me she said “How many launch permits do you need today..?”. I just laughed… I think she thought that I was out stealst’ing all these boats.
