July 4th Celebration At The Cot-taj-mahal

Things are shaping up for the July 4th celebration at the cottage. We had two productive weekends gettin ‘er ready.

Two weeks ago, Lumber Jack Matt and his assistant Brendoodee removed the two Arborvitae and the dead Mountain Laurel from the entrance to make room for the new “Fannie Gate“. Jimmie Crow then hung the new gate at the entrance to replace the old chain that has been there since 124 BC. The new gate was specially designed to help keep Fannie out. It has 6 rungs so it is too tall for her to climb over and too low for her to crawl under. Continue reading »
